Loved To Death

Ok so I am officially the worst blogger ever..Sat was my blog birthday and I missed it! =(

On another note I am doing a project on one of my fav stores in the Haight Asbury district of SF called Loved To Death. They sell taxidermy, art, jewelry antiques and everything in between. Omg!! Its been way too long since Ive posted and I have way too many things to even post about! New bags, new jewels, new designers I have came across etc etc etc!

I had 3 weeks off from school and it was faaaaab. The first weekend I went to Dallas TX for Casey bachelorette party! We met when our sisters were in elementary school together so basically we've been friends forever haha.

Later that week I got back to SF and my Bunch came for her birthday and for pride! It was soooooooooo amazingly fun and I was so happy to get to celebrate it with my best friends. Matt did a funny recap of our weekend on his blog! Heres just a few of the many many pictures that we took. I love this one!The dress I made for my final! And my new Alexander Wang clutch! Then after all of THAT fun I went to Arkansas for the last 2 weeks of my break! Got to see my fam and friends from home AND Barbara and I went to the aquarium in Jenks! Def one of the best aquariums I have been to and I have been to a lot.

Pride

Finally...its PRIDE WEEK!!! =) Cant wait for the weekend and all the festivities here in SF! Promise Ill get back to the fashion posts soon! I j love these pics and there isnt a better week to add them than this week right? Right!

I made this collage a few weeks ago out of a lot of pics I have j saved on my thumb drive over time. This collage site is lots of fun and is def a distraction!

I am officially finished with this quarter! I took my fashion illustration final this morning. Woooo!! So excited for this break! Its only 3 weeks but it will be amazing! My blogging might be a bit slow during this time since I am doing a lot of traveling! I am going to Dallas for Caseys bachelorette party!! Then heading back to the city for Barbaras bday and Pride, then im heading back to AR with her for 4th of July, our one year anniversary and im also throwing Casey a wedding shower while I am home!

Im also wanting a new tattoo while I am home. I always go to Brainstorm in Fayetteville. All of the artists are AMAZING and they are super nice! I have major tattoo fever right now...like I cannot stop thinking about ones that I want. Im pretty sure the count is up atleast 7 on top of the 2 I have. (my first tattoo is the symbol in the collage with the green background and it means authenticity) My other is a jellyfish...duh. A secret of mine is that I want to be a tattoo artist at one point in my life. Not so much of a secret now I suppose

Another fun site to check out is Eat Sleep Draw its a blog where artists submit random doodles, artwork etc onto the site. Its really inspirational and I spend way too much time on this site.

Def a random post! I might get another one in after Dallas and before Bo's bday!

Spirit Of The Black Dress

I recently read an article on WGSN about The Spirit of the Black Dress. It is an event held in Australia for emerging designers. 10 designers are selected and then they design their own interpretation of the classic black dress. Their first event was held in 2009 and they recently did a second event.

SF MOMA

Of course I have all of these ideas for posts during finals (im actually in the process of writing an interview between Jackson Pollock and Arshile Gorky as I am posting oooops)

I definitely take inspiration from art and living in a city that is so full of art is amazing..from the street art on every corner to all of the amazing museums. I went to SF MOMA this past weekend for research for my paper and I snapped a few shots while I was there. =)Lichtenstein -Rouen Cathedral. There are 3 dif paintings of the cathedral at different times of the day. These are recreations of Monet
Obsessed with this sculpture!! It wasnt up this weekend but I saw it when I was there a few months ago. Apparently the sculpture is some tiny 90 year old french woman and that makes me love it even more!

I also found some amazing things in the SF MOMA store..I spent a lot of time in there. I got an amazing birthday present for Bunch! Eeeee I want to post about it but I cant because then she would know her present early!
